You are also in my thoughts. And, Kerri, I just want you to know that I already think of you as a good friend of mine. Thanks for coming into my life. They say that WHEN GOD WANTS TO BLESS US, HE PUTS A PERSON INTO OUR LIVES. God bless you!

RazorFamily Farms: Hi Kerri! I loved you comment about naming the chickens! I agreed with you but I did open it for the majority. Great minds think alike -- and you and I certainly were on the same wavelength! Great hearing from you and Happy Valentine's Day!
PAm: Kerri, the oral was here long before the written, and the written only collected and canonized (in the late 4th century) to combat Gnosticism. Don't pretend to know what I believe. Your ideas of the teachins of my faith are wooly at best.
Kerri: Yes, I see Pam where you have been in the archives commenting. Before you worry about any "word of God" that isn't written - I think you should worry more about believing what is written!
Pam: Kerri, I answered you in a couple of places on my blog. I wanted to post, too, that the "Word of God" isn't just the Bible.
Connie: Thank you for the congrats! Yes I have read all of Ron Pauls beliefs or I won't have poste4d about him. I agree with his thoughts on Israel.
Pam: Hi, Kerri! I haven't been online in a while (check my blog and you'll see why :D ) I'll be doing a post this weekend that might interest you. :D

GK: happy new year..care to exchange link?if so let me know so I can add your link to my blog
Kerri: Do you realize that when Peter said that He was talking about the fact that even greater witness than their eyewitness of seing Jesus transfigured - we have a greater - the Bible, the Word of God.
Kerri: The Lord has given us His Written Word that we can KNOW who He is , who we are and HOW we can be saved and be with Him eternally. Peter said - 2Pe 1:19 "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:"
Pam: Oh, and no, there is no rebuttal to the "thank God" post. I have gotten a few emails with the opinions of some readers and they are all virtually the same. My querry is whether or not this phrase holds Christian meaning in the eyes of the faithful, or if it's just "a saying" with no supernatural meaning whatsoever.
Pam: Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the Word of God is written only, quite the contrary actually.
Kerri: The Bible is the WORD OF GOD that the Lord has given us in writing. Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh and He is the whole of His Word. I am resting, as I said, on the WORD OF GOD and His written promises!
Pam: Kerri the "Word of God" does not mean writings only. ;) I was wondering, though, how you define the use of the following two words when they are uttered together, uttered in sincerity, not in jest or sarcasm: "Thank God."
Kerri: Pam, I am resting on the promises of the Lord Jesus Christ given to us in writting in HIS WORD! The Roman Catholic church is resting on the shifting sands of man's opinions and will one day fall. My prayer for you is that you will realize it before it is too late.
Pam: Kerri, how sad that you set your soul on interpretations and beliefs that stem from the Post-Reformation period. May God be with you and remove your blinders. In the meantime, have a joyous Advent and Christ's Mass season.
ivy: Hi just surfing around, have a good night
Kerri: You can't change the fact that it was GOD who commanded -"Ge 9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat." Jesus is not going to go opposite that and feed His disciple flesh and blood. It was and is symbolic. It is a picture of how we are saved - by taking Jesus by FAITH.

3 John 1

3Jo 1:1 ¶ The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 ¶ For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
 5 Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
6 Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
7 Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.
9 ¶ I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
10 Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
12 ¶ Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.
13 I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:
14 But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.(KJV)

One thing is this short chapter that really stands out to me is the importance of our testimony. We see Gaius and Demetrius who have excellent testimonies of being faithful Christians, but also see Diotrephes, whose testimony was as one who was a trouble maker, lifted up with pride and causing problems in the church. Almost 2000 years later their testimonies are still speaking as to who they were and what they did.

What will your testimony say about you? What does it say right now? There is a verse in proverbs that says, "Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right" Proverbs 20:11   What are you known for?  Does your church know you to be a faithful attender, a faithful tither or are you know as only coming and giving haphazardly. Do you have a testimony as a true witness or as a gossip?  Does your family know you to be kind and thoughtful or selfish and hard?

If your life and testimony isn't what you want it to be and sure isn't what the Lord wants it to be  - there is still good news. God can help you change. If you repent and ask His forgiveness - He will forgive and cast your sin away. He will pick you up and help you start again and will help you live so that you can have a testimony that will please Him. Or if you haven't ever been saved, if you will turn from your way and come to Jesus - He will save you and give you a new life worth living.

Live for the Lord and have a faithful testimony!

Hey I wanted to thank you for all of your wonderful responses on my blog, great job kiddo!

As for what would my testimony be...Gosh, it would be very long. God has done so many miracles in my life and it would be hard to name them all. Which is why I did the Cardboard testimonies as an example.
