You are also in my thoughts. And, Kerri, I just want you to know that I already think of you as a good friend of mine. Thanks for coming into my life. RazorFamily Farms: Hi Kerri! I loved you comment about naming the chickens! I agreed with you but I did open it for the majority. Great minds think alike -- and you and I certainly were on the same wavelength! Great hearing from you and Happy Valentine's Day!
PAm: Kerri, the oral was here long before the written, and the written only collected and canonized (in the late 4th century) to combat Gnosticism. Don't pretend to know what I believe. Your ideas of the teachins of my faith are wooly at best.
Kerri: Yes, I see Pam where you have been in the archives commenting. Before you worry about any "word of God" that isn't written - I think you should worry more about believing what is written!
Pam: Kerri, I answered you in a couple of places on my blog. I wanted to post, too, that the "Word of God" isn't just the Bible.
Connie: Thank you for the congrats! Yes I have read all of Ron Pauls beliefs or I won't have poste4d about him. I agree with his thoughts on Israel.
Pam: Hi, Kerri! I haven't been online in a while (check my blog and you'll see why :D ) I'll be doing a post this weekend that might interest you. :D

GK: happy new year..care to exchange link?if so let me know so I can add your link to my blog
Kerri: Do you realize that when Peter said that He was talking about the fact that even greater witness than their eyewitness of seing Jesus transfigured - we have a greater - the Bible, the Word of God.
Kerri: The Lord has given us His Written Word that we can KNOW who He is , who we are and HOW we can be saved and be with Him eternally. Peter said - 2Pe 1:19 "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:"
Pam: Oh, and no, there is no rebuttal to the "thank God" post. I have gotten a few emails with the opinions of some readers and they are all virtually the same. My querry is whether or not this phrase holds Christian meaning in the eyes of the faithful, or if it's just "a saying" with no supernatural meaning whatsoever.
Pam: Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the Word of God is written only, quite the contrary actually.
Kerri: The Bible is the WORD OF GOD that the Lord has given us in writing. Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh and He is the whole of His Word. I am resting, as I said, on the WORD OF GOD and His written promises!
Pam: Kerri the "Word of God" does not mean writings only. ;) I was wondering, though, how you define the use of the following two words when they are uttered together, uttered in sincerity, not in jest or sarcasm: "Thank God."
Kerri: Pam, I am resting on the promises of the Lord Jesus Christ given to us in writting in HIS WORD! The Roman Catholic church is resting on the shifting sands of man's opinions and will one day fall. My prayer for you is that you will realize it before it is too late.
Pam: Kerri, how sad that you set your soul on interpretations and beliefs that stem from the Post-Reformation period. May God be with you and remove your blinders. In the meantime, have a joyous Advent and Christ's Mass season.
ivy: Hi just surfing around, have a good night
Kerri: You can't change the fact that it was GOD who commanded -"Ge 9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat." Jesus is not going to go opposite that and feed His disciple flesh and blood. It was and is symbolic. It is a picture of how we are saved - by taking Jesus by FAITH.

2 John 1

2Jo 1:1 ¶ The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
5 ¶ And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
7 ¶ For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 ¶ If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
12 ¶ Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
13 The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.(KJV)

Verse 5 talks about that we should love one another. What does it mean? How do we show love? Can you love someone and not tell them the truth? If a person is on their way to Hell - is it love to not tell them there is a way of escape? If a person is caught in the devil's web of false doctrine and teachings - is it love to act like everything is ok with their church?  That isn't love. Love speaks the truth in love. That is we can be compassionate and still be truthful. It is better a person gets hurt by the truth than destroyed by lies. Too often when we witness we are accused of "hating" this group or that group, but actually it takes love and concern to warn others and tell them the truth.

That we are to warn of false teaching is proven by verses 7-11 where John tells them they are to watch out for it, not to allow those who are that wrong doctrine in their house and not to bid them Godspeed. Many today think all religions need to gather together but truth can not yoke up and walk with lies. It is sin. The Bible tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Those who believe true doctrines can not have equal sweet fellowship with those who teach lies. They are going opposite directions.

Now who teaches that Jesus hasn't come in the flesh? I know that both Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons teach that Jesus did not rise with a physical body. They believe in only a spiritual resurrection. That is a lie - it is false doctrine. Jesus arose bodily from the grave 3 days after He was buried. Jesus, himself, said after His resurrection , "Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have." Luke 24:39

Becareful who you listen to and who you wish God's blessings to.

You know me and some friends were talking about this just today.

I was relating about some people who call themselves "Christian" support or defends some types of abortion, the homosexual lifestyle because if two people are in love what does matter type of thinking, ick...

What bible do they read out of? Kerry it bothers me to no end. I hate how people twist the bible to fit their own agendas. I am sure by now you know Jez from my blog. She is an atheist and will argue to kingdom come but you cannot convince her that she is wrong.

Prayer for the lost that is all we can do.
